Farmers, fisherman, lumberjacks, and miners are all very important jobs that do a lot for the community. All of these occupations require hard work and are very time consuming. They are essential to the community and are needed in order for us to have what we need most in out everyday lives. Farmers have the job of planting, raising and picking crops. We need them in order to provide our fresh produce. Fisherman are needed to provide fresh fish to markets, restaurants etc. Lumberjacks are involved in the logging industry. They provide different raw materials needed for everyday life. Miners use tools to extract minerals from the earth. If I had to pick I would personally choose to be a farmer. Out of all the options I feel a farmer is the least dangerous. It would also allow me to spend time outside which is something I enjoy doing. Fisherman have to worry about very rough seas which can be deadly. Lumberjacks need a lot of strength and stamina for the hard work they do, and I don’t have much of that to be honest, and do not think I’d be able to handle the extreme hard work that goes into it. In addition, miners also have very dangerous jobs and pretty much risk their lives every time they mine. I feel like a farmer would fit me well. I love the outdoors and the experience it would give me in the field. I know it would be hard work and very time consuming but it is what I would enjoy most.
